Terms and licence

Digital files: instructions for AI models, scenarios, templates and guides, delivered as downloads. We don’t provide an AI service, facilitation or consulting as part of the Products. You use them with an AI service that you choose and pay for separately, under that provider’s terms.

• Starter (free), Kit and Pro: a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for everyone employed or engaged by the purchasing organisation (including its subsidiaries) to use and adapt the Products for that organisation’s own internal exercises and training.
• You may copy the files internally and adapt them (for example, re-skin scenarios to your systems). You own the reports and derivative scenarios you create.
• You may not resell, sublicense, publish or redistribute the Products, or use them to deliver paid exercises or services to third parties, without a practitioner licence. Email hello@calmdrill.com about one.
• Practitioner: everything in the Kit and Pro licence, plus the right for the purchasing firm’s own staff to use the Products to deliver exercises, training and reports to any number of its clients, and to brand the resulting reports as its own. Clients don’t receive the Products themselves.
• The free Starter pack may be shared unmodified, with attribution, for non-commercial use.

The Products are designed to help you run exercises and produce records that may support evidence for frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO/IEC 27001, PCI DSS, DORA, HIPAA and NIS2. They are not legal, regulatory or audit advice. We don’t guarantee that any exercise or report will satisfy any auditor, regulator, standard or contract. Decisions made in real incidents, including regulatory notifications, need your own qualified advice.

AI models can make mistakes. A human in your organisation should review all AI-generated material, including After-Action Reports, before relying on it. Don’t enter real secrets, credentials or personal data into exercises.

Purchases include free updates within the same major version (for example, v1.x). We may offer later major versions separately.

The Products are digital files delivered at once, so all sales are final once the files have been made available to you, except where the law gives you a right we cannot exclude. See our refund policy.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability arising from the Products is limited to the amount you paid for them, and we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss. We don’t exclude liability that can’t lawfully be excluded.

Checkout, payment and delivery are provided by Payhip, under its own terms, using Stripe or PayPal to take payment. These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the applicable federal laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Abu Dhabi have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory rights you have as a consumer where you live.
